Le studio Upstream Arcade nous livre aujourd’hui sa vision ciselée de la bande dessinée Hellboy avec une adaptation visuellement saisissante : Hellboy Web of Wyrd, édité par Good Shepherd Entertainment en partenariat avec Dark Horse Comics, est disponible sur PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One et Xbox Series X|S au prix de 24,50 €.

Dans Hellboy Web of Wyrd, incarnez le Bras Droit de la Destruction lui-même (doublé par Lance Reddick) dans une aventure vertigineuse au cœur de l’étrange royaume du Wyrd. Des pics psychiques sont enregistrés aux quatre coins du globe, tandis qu’un agent du Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D) est porté disparu, alors qu’il mène une enquête sur la mystérieuse Maison Papillon. Il n’en faut pas plus pour dépêcher sur place le meilleur chasseur de surnaturel de l’agence, aussi efficace qu’effronté : Hellboy.
Le style visuel de Hellboy Web of Wyrd, fidèle à la bande dessinée créée par Mike Mignola, enveloppe les joueurs et joueuses dans le voile de mystère du Wyrd, une dimension métaphysique qui définit ses propres règles. Les recherches pour retrouver son collègue disparu mèneront le Singe Rouge à affronter les gigantesques bêtes féroces qui peuplent cet autre monde, à l’aide de combos dévastateurs à courte portée, d’attaques à distance et de nombreuses améliorations. Hellboy aura toute la puissance nécessaire pour terrasser les combattants les plus redoutables de l’enfer et déjouer ce vaste complot mystique dans la meilleure adaptation vidéoludique jamais créée pour le fils de démon.
