Ku’gath, il Padre del Contagio – Lord leggendario di Nurgle
Ku’gath, il Padre del Contagio e il Focolaio di Putrescenza, è il favorito tra i prescelti di Nurgle. Affascinato dalla creazione di nuovi contagi, fa spesso incursione nei regni dei mortali per sperimentare le nuove creazioni sul campo di battaglia, spinto dal desiderio di architettare la pestilenza perfetta in grado di infettare persino gli dei.
Il Fetido Alchimista fa ingresso in battaglia su di un enorme palanchino sorretto da schiere di Nurglini affaticati, e sperimenta le sue innumerevoli e tremende piaghe lanciando raffiche di Nurglini infetti tra le fila nemiche. Nonostante il suo aspetto rigonfio e malato, Ku’gath, il Padre del Contagio, ha l’abilità semi-divina di assorbire danni e infliggere ferite atroci sia in combattimenti corpo a corpo che con il lancio di incantesimi del Sapere di Nurgle.
Stile di gioco di Nurgle:
Gli eserciti di Nurgle incarnano il loro dio virulento: ergono un resistente muro di carne infetta con capacità rigenerative, a cui piace costringere il nemico a combattimenti di mischia per poi abbatterlo con attacchi velenosi e logoramento strategico. Più danni questi guerrieri pestilenziali subiscono in battaglia, più bonus di battaglia verranno sbloccati, come la deleteria capacità Putrefazione, Gloriosa Putrefazione che si propaga tra i ranghi nemici come una piaga micidiale.
Per tutto l’arco della campagna, Nurgle tenta di divulgare il suo abominevole messaggio in ogni occasione. Le sue fazioni sono in grado di creare e diffondere una serie di pestilenze che sono dannose per i disgraziati nemici che finiscono contagiati, ma che fruttano bonus alle forze alleate nelle vicinanze. Fanno inoltre uso di edifici ciclici che crescono e muoiono organicamente, e che possono invocare unità con forza ridotta per integrarle direttamente negli eserciti.
Composizione dell’esercito di Nurgle:
I Demoni di Nurgle hanno un aspetto decisamente putrido e sono praticamente inguardabili. Il nucleo di questo esercito marcescente è costituito da robuste unità di fanteria da prima linea, come gli Untori e sciami di odiosi (ma adorabili) Nurglini, mentre abominevoli Bestie da guerra e Demoni Maggiori, come Grandi Immondi, Rospi della Peste e Bestie di Nurgle, sono letali nei combattimenti corpo a corpo oltre a fornire supporto di tipo magico.
