February 1th, 2024 – Com2uS announced that the Summoners War: Sky Arena x The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Collaboration Update has been released.
Developed by CD PROJEKT RED, The Witcher 3 is a legendary open-world RPG game set in The Witcher universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski. The Witcher 3 has won a total of over 250 GOTY (Game of the Year) awards and sold more than 50 million copies worldwide ever since its launch in 2015. The game’s success stems from its charming characters and immersive worldbuilding.
Summoners War is collaborating with one of the best-selling video games in the world this year for their 10th anniversary. Various collab exclusive content will be revealed one by one, and other exciting content will be provided for their global users.
In this update, Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, and Triss are coming to the Sky Island as collab characters. With the Witcher Scroll and SP Summon, users can summon the collab characters with ease. Witcher Scroll is obtainable via collab events and content such as Trial of Ascension whereas SP Summon is available until February 18th.
Kaer Morhen, the stronghold of the witchers from the original game, has been added to the Sky Island as well. Users can access the minigame from The Witcher 3 called Gwent through this collab-exclusive building. Gwent is single-player PvE content where users play a card game against an opponent by building a deck with Summoners War Monsters, collab characters, and boss cards. New cards are provided per stage clear, and rewards are available according to the card collection progress. Kaer Morhen also gives out Witcher Missions that provide Witcher Tokens upon clearing the missions.
In addition, a collab event dungeon where users select one of the collab characters and clear stages is available. Griffin, Fiend, and Leshen from the original game will appear as bosses. In the Arena, users can play against Master X who uses collab characters.
Com2uS is holding the following 5 collab special events until March 31st:
Witcher Adventure Event that provides default 5-star Geralt, Witcher Skill Lab Event where users can level up the skills of collab characters with Witcher Tokens, Collab Special Shop Event where each shop opens according to the total Witcher Tokens collected, and Play Gwent Event where users can obtain up to 10 Mystical Scrolls. Plus, an event where users can obtain a bonus Mystical Scroll upon using 10 Mystical Scrolls during the SP Summon period will be live until February 18th.
