Funda Yakin joins online game publisher InnoGames as Director Media & Market Development with immediate effect. The 36-year-old previously worked at the Microsoft Corporation in Germany and the USA. As Head of Consumer and Commercial Marketing she was accountable for Microsoft´s products Windows and Lumia. In her new position at InnoGames Yakin is responsible for the strategic development of TV marketing and the expansion of direct media partner cooperation. She reports to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Christian Pern.

Next to Machine Zone or Supercell, InnoGames is among the gaming industry’s top five TV ad spenders in the U.S. and Germany. The company just launched a new TV campaign in the U.S. for the strategy game Forge of Empires. The 30-second-long CGI trailer was specifically made into several interchangeable “mini spots”, which can be rearranged in various ways for A/B testing purposes.

Currently, the Hamburg-based company employs over 400 professionals from 30 nations. InnoGames has scored major success with games such as Tribal Wars, Grepolis and Forge of Empires.
