Publisher Gamestar Arts and director Richard James Cook release feature length documentary film about gaming culture as part of new DRM free movie initiative on gog.com.
Pixel Poetry is on gog.com currently for 4,49 € available and can also be purchased at DevolverDigital.com.
“Pixel Poetry”, a film that examines the creative influence gaming has had on everyday society, takes the expertise of several industry veterans and media personalities into a discussion about how many different ways the gaming industry has evolved from its humble beginnings. Through the opinions formed, a thoughtful consensus is given on the many struggles and controversies that the game industry has faced, including the games as art debate, gaming and it’s alleged violent and addictive tendencies, and it’s legitimacy as a creative medium in the general public eye.
The film features many notable names like former G4TV and Revision3 host Adam Sessler, TED Talk alum and ThatGameCompany co-founder Kellee Santiago, and 30 year game industry veteran and Deus Ex creator Warren Spector, among many others.
Pixel Poetry is part of gog.com’s new DRM free film initiative that released on August 27, 2014.
