Montague’s Mount has been greenlit on Steam Greenlight!
Independent developer Polypusher Studios is thrilled to announce that its Indie horror adventure game, Montague’s Mount has just been greenlit on Steam Greenlight!
The Irish studio had put the game on Steam Greenlight 120 days ago which allows Steam users to vote for games they would like to play on Steamand has since been working closely with UK publisher Mastertronic to complete the title. The DRM-free version launched on Get Games, GOG and Gamer’s Gate a week ago, however the game was still not past the Greenlight process.
Montague’s Mount, first presented to the world at Rezzed! PC and Gaming Show, was more recently showcased at Eurogamer Expo with the Oculus Rift and the response was phenomenal. Oculus Rift support will be available to all versions of the game within the next few months.
Montague’s Mount is first-person rollercoaster ride through isolation, desolation and one man’s tortured mind, set against the haunting bleakness of an isolated Irish island. The player regains consciousness on a windswept beach, with no memory of the past. Exploration and puzzle solving lead to some disturbing finds and is the key to finding out what happened – and to escaping the island.
Matthew Cliffton, Polypusher Studios, says ‘This has been a long and eventful journey and I’d like to give a huge thanks to everyone who voted for Montague’s Mount and got it through Steam Greenlight! I’ve had so much support through the ups and downs and I couldn’t have done this without it. I’ve worn the Rezzed Exhibitor wristband since we launched the game at the show on Greenlight and vowed to wear it until we got through. So in addition and on behalf of my wife, I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone!‘
However the journey doesn’t end here as Matt is working closely with Mastertronic to launch on Steam on 12th November. In addition Matt is working on Oculus Rift support which should be available within the coming months.
Montague’s Mount is currently available as a DRM-free version from Good Old Games, Get Games and GamersGate. So if you can’t wait for the Steam version you can get it at the links below:
