AiAi and his friends are back! Today Super Monkey Ball: Sakura Edition, the rolling, tilting, adorable action game featuring classic SEGA characters, joins SEGA Forever. All games in the SEGA Forever collection are available to download for free from the App Store for iPhone and iPad or Google Play Store for Android devices. Players who want to experience the games without ads can remove them for a one-time in-app purchase priced at $1.99/ €2.29 / £1.99.
The original Monkey Ball first landed in arcades back in 2001, featuring frantic puzzle action made all the more interesting thanks to its trackball controls. In Super Monkey Ball: Sakura Edition, players can roll through 125 stages across six worlds as one of four adorable characters; AiAi, MeeMee, GonGon, and Baby. With three local multiplayer mini games (four on tablets), there’s plenty here to monkey around with! The game, which first launched exclusively for the iPad in 2010, was developed by Other Ocean, known for their cross-platform work on high-profile titles like Minecraft and Mortal Kombat.
