    One Piece 1000: Europe-wide Fall Celebration Marks the 1000th Episode of the Legendary Anime

    – Toei Animation reveals calendar of events in France, Germany, Spain and Italy, ahead of 1000th episode scheduled for broadcast on November 21st –

    Paris, France – November 9th, 2021 – Fans of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates can rejoice with the news that the smash hit anime One Piece will broadcast its 1000th episode on November 21st. To mark this momentous milestone in the life of the longest running series in the history of Toei Animation, a series of exciting events and collaborations is taking place across Europe.

    The global phenomenon is every bit as powerful as when the first One Piece episode aired in Japan in 1999, with faithful legions of fans and celebrity devotees the world over. With nearly 1000 episodes broadcast in 80 countries, 13 feature films released, and the Guinness World Record awarded to manga creator Eiichiro Oda for the “most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author”, One Piece has established itself on the cultural landscape of an entire generation.

    One Piece 1000 events include:

    France and Benelux

    Movie Night, Nov 21st 
    To celebrate the 1000th episode of the One Piece anime series, more than 120 cinemas across France and the Benelux region are hosting the One Piece 1000 Logs Marathon on November 21st, the day of the 1000th episode’s broadcast in Europe, and just one day after its first screening in Japan. 

    The screening schedule for the event is as follows:

    • One Piece: Strong World – Epic fan-favourite One Piece film
    • One Piece Characters Log – Monkey D. Luffy – short film about Monkey D. Luffy
    • One Piece 1000th Episode
    • Plus more bonus surprises

    And as a special fan bonus, there are 1000 exclusive One Piece 1000 Logs tote bags to win for ticket holders who can correctly answer a short One Piece quiz on the CGR social network. Useful to carry that leftover popcorn.

    In celebration of the 100th manga’s release, One Piece publisher Glenat is running a giveaway with a prize to be won each day until December 8th. Check out www.onepiece100.fr for details.

    In-Store Promotions
    Pop-up Store – From October 1st to January 2nd 2022, the One Piece 1000 Logs store opened its doors on the 2nd floor of Westfield Les 4 Temps shopping centre at La Defense in Paris, with exclusive products and special themed decor. 

    Until December, the exterior of the Manga Story store in Paris will feature a giant One Piece 1000 takeover. In addition, every One Piece purchase from the Manga Story stores in Paris, Lyon, and Bordeaux will come with a scratch card giving customers a chance to win more One Piece products.

    From October to December, Cultura stores will highlight the property through special One Piece decorations. In some stores, fans will be able to take photos in front of One Piece photocalls.

    National Board game tournament – Organised by Topi Games, the grand finale was held on November 6th at La Grande Récré (Boulogne-Billancourt). 

    From mid-October to the end of the year, a number of bookstores across France will celebrate One Piece 1000 with a special sticker campaign. For every €5 purchase from the One Piece product range, buyers will receive a loyalty card sticker. Once 10 stickers have been collected, fans have a chance to win an exclusive acrylic mini-figure.

    Selfie World Record Attempt
    To celebrate One Piece 1000 with the fans, a One Piece selfie campaign is currently taking place until November 21st. Fans are invited to share their selfies taken using a special One Piece frame, with the aim of reaching 20,000 photos to create the biggest digital photo album in history. A prize draw will take place every 1,000 photos for a chance to win exclusive prizes. Over 12,000 participants have already posted their selfies! Join in here.

    Spain and Italy
    Since June, a selection of 43 Spanish book and hobby stores have been running a special loyalty promotion where fans can collect One Piece stickers with the purchase of One Piece products. Once 10 stickers have been collected, fans can get an exclusive One Piece 1000 acrylic mini-figure.

    Feltrinelli in Italy ran a special promotion in October where fans were able to grab an exclusive bag with the purchase of two or more One Piece mangas.

    In Italy, Games Academy and Funside stores will celebrate One Piece 1000 with a special loyalty card campaign until December 12th. For every €5 purchase from the One Piece product range, customers will receive a loyalty card and a sticker. Once 10 stickers have been collected, fans can get an exclusive Luffy plastic mini-figure.

    Germany
    Until December, at Figuya hobby store in Berlin, customers purchasing One Piece products will get a scratch card giving customers a chance to win special One Piece prizes.
