Rising Star Games today is announcing that they have formed a partnership with Sinclair Strange to publish I Want To Be Human on Steam for PC. The debut title from the wonderfully bizarre mind of Sinclair Strange looks to be released this fall.
It’s the age-old love story, right? Wrong. I Want To Be Human is a game that drives a stake through the heart of every vampire love story ever told, turning every stereotype of the usual supernatural romance genre on its head (and even managing to rub a garlic clove or two in there).
The story is about a boy, who meets a vampire girl. Boy falls in love with said vampire girl, and then boy gets turned into a hat by evil forces trying to take over the world… wait, say what? Well, there is only one thing vampire girl can do about that: go on a bloodthirsty rampage of death and destruction in a quest to get her boyfriend back!
I Want To Be Human is packed with crazy platform blasting action, a pulsing electropunk audio score, wildly dark tongue-in-cheek humour, and lashings of exploding body parts. Players will aid our vampiric protagonist on her journey through hell and back (literally) to save her beau. Along the journey players will unlock abilities they never knew they had while blasting their way through five worlds of blood-soaked monochromatic mayhem. And who knows, they might even set a new high ‘sgore’ (ahem) into the bargain…
