Sabotage and Devolver Digital have released the critically-acclaimed ninja adventure The Messenger on Nintendo Switch and PC. Hailed as ‘the best retro tribute since Shovel Knight’ in a flurry of rave reviews, The Messenger arrives as one of the best reviewed Nintendo Switch games of the year. The creators of Ninja Gaiden seem to like it, too!
The Messenger’s launch is heralded by Shinobi No Kikan, a short film that mixes live action, animated sprites, and gameplay into an abridged story of the game’s hero as he sets out on his seemingly impossible quest.
