Nieuwe Stronghold Crusader 2 video “Buig voor de Kalief”
Firefly Studios heeft vandaag een nieuwe Stronghold Crusader 2 video gelanceerd als onderdeel van hun crowdfunding campagne op Gambitious. De video introduceert één van de acht personages uit de game; de tirannieke Kalief.
De Kalief toont absoluut geen genade, is niet schuw van wreedheden en laat zo een spoor van dood en verderf achter. De Kalief heeft zijn eigen brute methodes om tegenstanders op hun knieën te dwingen en de woestijn te veroveren. Hij is één van de meest agressieve tegenstanders in de game en kan het spelers al een in een vroeg stadium zeer moeilijk maken.
De Kalief is naast een speelbaar personage ook een geduchte tegenstander in één van de acht multiplayer modes. In Co-op, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, King of the HillenCapture theFlag kunnen spelers zelf het aantal menselijke en computergestuurde tegenstanders samenstellen. Elk karakter heeft hierbij zijn eigen unieke eigenschappen, zijn eigen troepen en verdedigingswerken en zijn eigen tactiek op het slagveld. Zo kiest het ene karakter ervoor om al vroeg hordesfakkel-zwaaiende slaven het slagveld op te sturen, terwijl een ander karakter eerder geneigd zal zijn om een solide verdediging en leger op te bouwen, alvorens tot actie over te gaan.
StrongholdCrusader 2 staat voor het begin van 2014 gepland en zal door Firefly zelf op PC uitgegeven worden. Het geld dat wordt opgehaald via het crowdfundingplatformGambitious zal worden ingezet voor de verdere ontwikkeling van de game, een gesloten beta en aanvullende content.
