Forge of Empires adds a Negotiation Game to Guild Expeditions

InnoGames just announced the latest addition to Guild Expeditions, one of the latest features in their cross-platform title, Forge of Empires: The Guild Expeditions Negotiation Game.  Before today, fighters were the only ones able to advance through the jungle-themed expedition map. Today, traders can also advance by peacefully solving encounters with a mini game allowing them to ”Negotiate”.

Finding the right combination:
Upon clicking the ”Negotiate” button for the first time, the player will be approached by five locals who are clearly looking for specific resources (coins, limestone, coins, etc.) It is up to the player to figure out which particular resource each local is looking for. Once the player makes the initial guesses, the locals provide feedback to hint at who may want which resource. After a limited number of tries and if the locals are satisfied, expedition points can be collected and the players can advance. Just like battles, negotiations become more demanding and more difficult as the explorers progress through the map. The Negotiation Game is also balanced in the way that you can earn roughly the same amount of Expedition Points for fighting and for negotiating, but this can differ depending on how many turns the player will need to decipher the right combination.

Any player above the Iron Age can take part in the expeditions, which will be restarted every week. Players contribute to the new expedition goals by solving an individual expedition map. Once a guild has reached a certain level of expedition points, they earn guild power, which leads to more rewards and boosts for the whole guild. To finish an encounter on the expedition map, they can either fight or coming in the next update, negotiate. Depending on their own personal success, each individual player will also receive personal rewards. After solving the entire guild expedition map, a new difficulty level can be unlocked and new rewards will be available.

Forge of Empires is a strategy game, where players, tasked with leading their own city to prosperity, can research new technologies, build impressive historical buildings and enlarge their sphere of influence through military campaigns and skillful dealing. Forge of Empires is available in the browser and on iOS and Android devices.
