InnoGames Hits 100 Million Euros in 2015, Grows Mobile 100%
Game Developer, InnoGames, releases its annual financial figures today, which illustrates the company’s healthy growth of 25% in 2015- and revenue of 100 million euros. Much of this success is due to the company’s budding mobile focus, which has expanded in revenue by 100% over 2014 – with the cross platform title Forge of Empires making up the major portion of this.
CEO Hendrik Klindworth explains the company’s growth by saying: “Thanks to the high quality of Forge of Empires’ cross platform approach, 60% of the game’s players are now using the mobile apps. And although InnoGames plans to further focus on mobile in 2016, we do still see a great demand for browser games as well. In fact, our successful launch of the browser title Elvenar in 2015, along with having another profitable year for our older browser titles Tribal Wars and Grepolis, proves that the platform is still popular.”
“The significant increase in sales and our once again profitable balance sheet show that we are moving in the right direction with our mobile strategy,” adds Chief Financial Officer Markus Lipp. “We have several mobile titles in development, and are convinced that 2016 will be another highly profitable year in the books.”
InnoGames aims to fill 50 more job positions this year – many with new colleagues from abroad. In Fact, in June of this past year, the company was distinguished by the German Federal Ministry of Economics as one of six organizations in the country that are particularly attractive to international professionals. Hendrik Klindworth explains: “We are still putting a high priority on hiring an international mix of professionals to be a globally-minded company, and we know that sustainable workforce growth and fair play towards our employees, players and partners have always served us well. “
