Blue Estate, A Killer New Game, Coming Soon Exclusively to Leap Motion
Revolutionary dark comedy shooter for PC, based on Blue Estate comic books, offers innovative game play using Leap Motion’s 3D motion control
Buckle up for one helluva ride. Blue Estate is a darkly funny rail shooter game launching soon exclusively for Leap Motion™. Based on the Eisner Awards-nominated Blue Estate comic books from Viktor Kalvachev and developed by HESAW, the Blue Estate game for PC offers slick wit and punishing violence, all set in an eye-popping technicolor mob world.
The prologue of Blue Estate will land exclusively in the Leap Motion Airspace™ Store soon. The Leap Motion Controller gives people an exciting new way to play games on their computers using their hands in the air.
In the Blue Estate game for Leap Motion, players step into the shoes of self-styled “angel of murder” Tony Luciano as they’re dragged greasy hair-first into a tangled web of mobster chaos and high-velocity violence. What Tony lacks in smarts he more than makes up for in gun-toting belligerence. The only thing that can keep up with his trigger finger is his penchant for sarcastic one-liners.
“The Blue Estate comic series is a real labor of love for me, and it’s very cool to see some of the characters come to life off the page in such an amazing interactive way with Leap Motion,” said Viktor Kalvachev, creator of the Blue Estate comic book universe and Creative Director at HESAW. “Tony Luciano is a good choice of character for the lead role with his sharp tongue and itchy trigger finger. It really is a lot of fun to play and I hope people are going to love it.”
Players target waves of hurt-hungry hoodlums by making a schoolyard-style pistol shape with their hand and moving it above the Leap Motion Controller. When they find a bad guy, autofire takes care of the rest. But players need to think fast, and keep their line of sight clear, or it’ll be Tony’s funeral instead of the enemy’s.
“The skilled team at HESAW blew us away with Blue Estate and the intuitive play interactions that use Leap Motion’s technology. We knew it would be a killer addition to Airspace,” said Avinash Dabir, Director of Developer Relations at Leap Motion. “The brilliantly realized universe offers hours of immersive gaming. We’re excited to bring Blue Estate exclusively to our users around the world and take gaming with Leap Motion to the next level.”
Dark comedy shooter Blue Estate is developed by HESAW, a new independent studio comprised of industry veterans (Darkworks, Ubisoft, etc.) based in Paris, France.
