Het origineel van The Bitmap Brothers vanaf nu te downloaden
Mastertronic en Abstraction Games kondigen vandaag aan dat de remake van de Amiga klassieker The Chaos Engine vanaf vandaag te downloaden is via Steam, Get Games en GOG. De top-down shooter van begin jaren 90 wordt door Abstraction Games, bekend van hun recente Hotline Miami port voor Vita en PS3, van de grond opnieuw opgebouwd. Hierbij worden zij ondersteund door Mike Montgomery, een van de oprichters van The Bitmap Brothers.
De originele versie van The Chaos Engine introduceerde als één van de eerste action-adventure¬ titels een persoonlijk upgrade systeem. Spelers konden via deze weg hun personages verbeteren en voorzien van gepersonaliseerde wapens. Abstraction Games blijft trouw aan het origineel uit 1993, maar zal daarnaast een alternatieve modus beschikken waarin enkele onmisbare verbeteringen zijn verwerkt.
Vecht je door vier verschillende werelden in de singleplayer modus of speel met je vrienden in de online- en co-op modus. Kies uit de “Enhanced Mode”, welke is aangepast aan gaming anno 2013, of de “Classic Mode” - compleet met retro graphics en besturing voor de originele Amiga ervaring. Zowel nieuwe spelers als fans van het eerste uur worden tot het uiterste gedreven dankzij de Steam Achievements. Deze opgeknapte versie bevat alles wat het origineel zo goed maakte. In additie kun je natuurlijk rekenen op verbeterde graphics, uitgebreide besturing en Steam opties.
